How to edit a drop-down field

Add new options to a drop-down field

Changing, adding or re-ordering the options in a drop-down field is quick and easy.

Note: This is a guide for admins


Adding new drop-down options

Individually

  1. Enable customisation mode by clicking on the cogwheel in the top right of a record

    Customise record type

  2. Click the drop-down field you'd like to edit (directly on the field, not the card)

  3. Type your new drop-down option in the 'Add drop-down options' box and press enter ↵ on your keyboard

  4. Click 'Save'.


In bulk

Got a long list of options and don't want to add them one at a time?

  1. Enable customisation mode by clicking on the cogwheel in the top right of a record

  2. Click the drop-down field you'd like to edit (directly on the field, not the card)

  3. Click the icon at the right hand side of the 'Add drop-down options' box

  4. Type or paste in your list of new drop-down options, making sure to enter one new option per line, then click 'Add'.

  5. Click 'Save'


Reordering drop-down options

By default, any new drop-down options will be added to the bottom of your list.

  1. Enable customisation mode by clicking on the cogwheel in the top right of a record

  2. Click the field you'd like to edit (directly on the field, not the card)

  3. Click on the drop-down option you'd like to reorder and drag and drop it to the correct place in your list.

  4. Click 'Save'.
