Note: The Alumni element is available on all plans
Beacon's alumni element allows you to store details about your alumni, their academic history, and their extracurricular activities while at your organisation.
The alumni element is made of 3 core record types:
Alumni - Records of their time at your organisation
Education histories - Records of specific years or qualifications
Extracurricular histories - Records of your Alumni activities outside of academics
Alumni
An Alumni record links a person in your database to their unique Alumni ID, their current status, and whether they have opted into your directory:
It also includes details on their education, how far they progressed, and any specific course or college details:
Tracking their start and leave dates allows for easy filtering by particular year groups or cohorts:
Education histories
Education history records store specific subjects, levels, and dates. This allows you to be highly granular with your filtering—for example, targeting top-performing alumni in a specific subject for mentoring opportunities or tailored fundraising campaigns.
Extracurricular histories
Extracurricular history records store details about activities outside the classroom, such as sports, music, art, and student societies.
With all of these record types, you can easily filter, export, and reference any data you need about your alumni. And because it's Beacon, these standard record types are just a foundation—you can always customise them by adding your own fields or linking additional record types to perfectly fit your organisation's unique needs.
